Come Play capture the flag
Capture the flag rules|
Teams are split into two and people must stay on their team for the duration of the game.
The field of play is spit into two sides. Each team is assigned a side to protect.
A part of the field in the middle is sectioned out and it is made into a neutral area.
Each side is split up again into the area where the flag can be hidden. This area is called the base.
Teams can only tag the opposing team members if they are in their half of the field of play.
No one can be tagged in the neutral area.
If tagged you must go back to your base and walk over its border. After returning to your base you can attack again.
To win the game one team must capture the other’s flag and return it to their base.
Rules on hiding the flag:
The flag can only be hidden in the pre-designated base area. This base is a large area that is determined by bright pink and orange flagging tape.
The flag must remain vertical at all times with the flag on the top. If the opposing team has the other team’s flag it does not have to remain vertical. This rule is only for your flag (if it is an accident than that is ok).
The flag can be moved at anytime during the game, but if carried it must remain approximately vertical with the flag on the top and cannot be dropped or at an angle for an extended period of time.
If a person is carrying the flag and tagged than that team looses the game.
Only five people at a time can be within approximately 30 feet from the flag. No one can be closer than 30 feet to their flag unless they are caring it.
Teams get 10 minutes in the beginning of the game to hide their flag.
Tips on capturing the flag
Use the bathroom before you come and eat something. Bring water just in case.
Work in teams
Develop a strategy.
Make sure you include everyone on the team.
Remember the only way to loose the game is if your flag gets captured. There really is not a time limit. Focus on your defense it is more important in the long run than the offence.
Bring anything that you think will give you an advantage. This includes cell phones, walky talkies, binoculars , or anything that you can think of.
If you have a sound strategy than you wont have to run as much.
the area if play is so large that this is not as much a game of speed as it is stealth, so be like the ninja.
